⚠️ Why Was BetUS Delisted?
BetUS used to sit in our VPN-tolerated tier. Its current Terms and Conditions move it out. Section 2.3 now reads:
“The use of VPNs, proxy servers, IP masking services, or any method designed to conceal or falsify your true geographic location in order to access our services is strictly prohibited and may result in immediate account closure and forfeiture of winnings.”
No grey zone, no detection wording to interpret. VPNs are named first in the list, and the penalty is closure plus your winnings.
Our VPN sessions on BetUS worked. That doesn’t change the grade. With the updated Terms, BetUS drops from 50/100 to 25/100 and comes off every recommendation list on VPNCasinos. All BetUS links redirect to our homepage, so you can pick a casino that doesn’t ban VPN users. We’ll recheck if the Terms change again.
Who Is This Casino For?
Where Is BetUS Licensed?
That depends on which paragraph you read. BetUS has been running since 1994, with a sportsbook, live betting, casino, poker and racebook under one account. Its Terms open by saying it complies with the laws of the Island of Mwali in the Comoros. Section 1.4 then puts disputes under the laws and courts of the Netherlands Antilles, a jurisdiction that was dissolved in 2010. Section 7.5 mentions data requests from authorities in Gibraltar. The site itself runs on a Panama domain, betus.com.pa.
Now check the banned list: Panama, Curaçao and the Netherlands Antilles are all on it. No operating company is named, and no licence number is given. For a brand that calls itself “fully licensed” in the footer, that’s a lot of flags pointing in different directions.
Section 2.3 bans VPNs outright, so we grade VPN access as forbidden. ID and card documents are required before payouts.
Which Countries Are Banned at BetUS?
Belgium, Costa Rica, Croatia, Curaçao, France, Germany, India, Iran, Norway, the Netherlands, the Netherlands Antilles, Panama, the Philippines, Romania, Slovenia and the United Kingdom. BetUS can refuse players from anywhere else at its discretion, and the list was last updated in August 2025.
Can You Deposit at BetUS From Your Country?
Not being banned doesn’t mean you can fund an account. BetUS runs two more tiers. Players in 46 countries, including Canada, Hungary, Bulgaria, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Serbia, Ukraine and Turkey, can register but can’t deposit by credit or debit card. Crypto is the preferred route.
The third tier is stranger. Players in 32 countries and territories, including Cyprus, China, Vietnam, Sri Lanka, Cuba, Venezuela and Crimea, can create an account but can use neither crypto nor cards. You can sign up from Nicosia, and then you’re looking for a payment method BetUS hasn’t ruled out.

Can You Use a VPN at BetUS?
No. BetUS’s current Terms prohibit “VPNs, proxy servers, IP masking services, or any method designed to conceal or falsify your true geographic location.” That covers privacy VPNs, Tor, residential proxies and anything else that changes where BetUS thinks you are. The clause sits inside section 2.3, right under the banned country list, so the target is obvious: players getting around geo-restrictions.
What Happens If BetUS Catches You on a VPN?
Section 2.3 says immediate account closure and forfeiture of winnings. It gets worse from there. Section 10.8 says that when an account is terminated, “any remaining account balance, including deposits, may be forfeited.” And 2.3 adds that anyone found playing from a jurisdiction where online wagering is prohibited isn’t eligible to collect any winnings at all.
We connected through ProtonVPN, Surfshark and Privado and played, deposited and withdrew without being blocked. BetUS doesn’t need to block you at the door. It only needs to notice at cashout.

Does BetUS Require KYC to Withdraw?
Yes. Section 5.5 says documents are required “prior to payout requests being made,” whatever deposit method you used. You’ll need clear copies of the front and back of every credit card you’ve successfully deposited with, plus a valid, signed government ID, all four corners visible. Once verified, you don’t resend them unless they expire. Section 2.5 lets BetUS run KYC “at any stage,” and failing to provide documents can mean withheld withdrawals or closure.
What Is Standard KYC?
Standard KYC on our scale means no ID at signup, but verification before you can withdraw. BetUS fits exactly: 15/40. It isn’t ambush KYC, because BetUS never markets itself as a no-KYC site.
Card depositors carry extra friction. The first three card deposits carry a processing fee, and payouts are held 72 hours after a card deposit. A preauthorized card deposit that isn’t followed by a “repurchase” within 24 hours is voided along with anything won from it.

Which BetUS Terms Should You Read Before Depositing?
BetUS Isn’t a Crypto Off-Ramp
Section 2.7 prohibits “money recycling, crypto-to-cash conversion, withdrawals without meaningful gameplay, or attempts to use the platform as a financial exchange.” Every deposit carries a minimum 1x rollover (5.6) for the same reason. Deposit BTC, place a couple of small bets and ask for a wire, and you’ve described the exact behaviour the Terms ban. BetUS can withhold or refund the balance, and it doesn’t have to explain why unless you ask in writing.
Your Deposits Aren’t Safe If the Account Is Closed
Most of BetUS’s penalty clauses reach past winnings. Termination can forfeit “any remaining account balance, including deposits” (10.8). Using a bot forfeits everything: deposits, bonus money and winnings (6.9). If BetUS decides your bets were placed by or for a “bookmaker or gambling syndicate,” it can withhold your winnings and “the principle” (5.4). Duplicate or linked accounts get their balances withheld pending investigation (2.12), and funds in any account linked to a “delinquent” one can be forfeited (5.10).
Accepting a Win Lets BetUS Use Your Name
Section 13.3: by accepting winnings, you give BetUS the right to use your name in advertising and promotions with no extra payment. The Privacy Policy promises everything stays “internal,” and section 7.2 allows sharing with third parties to complete transactions and get professional advice. Pick which page you trust.

BetUS has three decades of history and a sportsbook plenty of American bettors like. None of that matters on a VPN site. Section 2.3 bans VPNs by name and puts your winnings on the line, and 10.8 can take the deposits too. Our sessions worked. The Terms say they shouldn’t have.
The fine print doesn’t help. Four jurisdictions show up across the Terms, two of them on BetUS’s own banned list and one that stopped existing in 2010. Crypto players get told the platform isn’t an exchange. 25/100. Bad, avoid.
