VPN Testing and GEO Access
VPNs connect fine. That’s not the same as being allowed. Our sessions through three providers from non-restricted countries registered, deposited and played without a block, which is how we mistakenly graded this Tolerated in an earlier version of this review.
Section 3.4 of the Terms is unambiguous: “You may not use a VPN, proxy or similar services or devices that mask or manipulate the identification of your real location.” Breaching the Terms lets BETMODE suspend the account and withhold funds. Result: VPN Forbidden (0/40).
The AML policy shows how that ban is enforced. Two of its listed red flags for enhanced due diligence are an IP address that doesn’t match your registered location and logging in from multiple countries or attempting to circumvent geo-location controls. The Privacy Policy confirms BETMODE logs “traffic data, GeoIP location data, browser/device data” on every session.
Practical upshot: nothing stops you connecting today, and nothing stops the mismatch being used against you at cashout. That’s the worst combination for a privacy player, because the problem surfaces when your money is already inside.

That’s the most persistent monitoring in any casino document we’ve read, and it’s the mechanism behind the “multiple accounts from the same IP” closures in the reviews below.
We grade this Soft Standard KYC at 20/40: stricter than Light KYC, but lighter than a European regulator, since proof of funds isn’t routine. It is not, under any reading, a no-KYC casino.

The case that matters for this site is paulsss (MX, May 2026, 1 star). He alleges he played unrestricted while losing, then after a $30,000 win the account was flagged for KYC and shut down: “account blocked, and I had no access to my funds.” BETMODE replied that he was running multiple accounts from the same IP, and returned only a recent $1,400 deposit.
We can’t verify either side. But “multiple accounts from the same IP” is precisely what BETMODE’s own AML red flags describe, and a shared VPN exit produces exactly that signal. Whatever happened in this specific case, it shows where the VPN ban and the device monitoring actually bite: after a big win, at cashout.
A separate dispute involves unpaid race rewards, with a self-described high-roller alleging their account was locked after they chased owed tournament prizes (Rustam Abu, RU, August 2025, 1 star).

BETMODE bans VPNs in its Terms, treats an IP-to-location mismatch as an anti-money-laundering red flag, and fingerprints your device, IP and browser at every login, deposit and withdrawal. Add compulsory KYC on the first cashout and there is nothing here for a privacy-minded player.
Credit where it’s due: BETMODE’s AML policy is the most transparent we’ve graded, with real published thresholds where most operators offer “at our discretion.” It earns a clean 20/20 there. But AML transparency is 20% of our score, and it doesn’t help you if the site forbids the tool you came here to use.
